Disclosure regarding gathering, handling and using personal information

Basic Data Collection, Renewal and Management

According to the Personal Data Protection Act, Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (hereinafter as MIRDC) issues its statement of personal data protection and collection agreement to notify you of your responsibilities and rights and solicit your consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal data by MIRDC.

  • Purpose of Personal Data Collection：Provide MIRDC for promotion, propaganda, counselling, education and training, and personal database management.
  • Categories of personal data：(C001) Personal identification: For identifying the individual, Chinese and English name, job title, autobiography, biography, photograph, date of birth, place of birth, place of residence, address, tel. no., mobile phone no., fax no., email address, the username you use to sign in to website and birth certificate.(C002) For verifying financial information : Insurance policy number.(C003) For identification in government documents : ID card no., passport no., insurance certificate no., license no. (C011) Personal description : Month and year of birth, sex, nationality and residence.(C038) Occupation : job, position.(C039) Licenses or permits, such as Driver’s License(C051) School record : School(s) attended.(C052) Qualifications or skills : Degrees and qualifications, specialized skills, special licenses, other training certifications, etc.(C054) Professional expertise (C061) Current employment status : Employer, work description, industry characteristics, etc.
  • Period, Area, Parties and Ways of using the personal information:
    (1) MIRDC would reasonably use your personal data in the period of using the personal information.
    (2) MIRDC would use your personal data in Taiwan, the Republic of China.
    (3) MIRDC would reasonably use your personal data.
  • According to the Personal Data Protection Act (ROC), you are entitled to make the following requests: To check or review the collected data；To receive a photocopy of the collected data；To supplement or revise the collected data；To cease the collection, processing or use of the collected data；To delete the collected data.   • You may lose certain rights or benefits if you provide incorrect, untrue, outdated or incomplete information.
  • MIRDC would supervise other department, if they need to proceed your personal date due to business needs.
