Unmanned Vehicles Laboratory

Laboratory Highlight:The first domestic laboratory for structural inspection and operation & maintenance of offshore Unmanned Vehicles(UVs).

Technical Capability Development Plan:

Short Term: Develop an intelligent identification system and establish land-based/offshore system operation & maintenance inspection and maintenance for Unmanned Vehicles(UVs).
Mid Term: Integrate surface/underwater systems, develop a backend operation & maintenance center and warning reporting system.
Long Term: Develop autonomous flight/navigation systems to assist offshore patrol operations (environmental monitoring and information collection) using a virtual-reality integrated model.

Technical Service Items:

  • Vehicle System Integration Technology: System integration technologies required for the development of surface/underwater vehicles, including structural design analysis, hydrodynamic simulation, ballast & payload design, power systems, control systems, path planning design, measurement data processing, etc.
  • Customizable development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) is also available.
  • Underwater Unmanned Vehicle and Sonar System Integration Communication Technology: Related technology development can be integrated with unmanned surface vehicles as relay stations. For example, underwater vehicle communication information can be integrated into unmanned surface vehicles, enabling remote communication via WIFI or satellite technology.
  • Customized service: Provide task planning, risk assessment, technical support, and operational training services for offshore wind farms, marine engineering, and marine technology research units, utilizing vehicles for surface/underwater operations.
