Course Description:Slinger Signaller (SLS) training aims to reduce the risks associated with offshore wind lifting operations by teaching the roles, responsibilities, and coordination involved in slinging, signaling, and lifting tasks. Course Highlights:

  • Understanding local regulations for lifting operations, basic mechanical principles, and an overview of lifting equipment and accessories
  • Identifying the appropriate lifting gear based on the load’s weight, center of gravity, shape, and dimensions, and selecting suitable lifting tools and accessories accordingly
  • Learning key lifting techniques, accident prevention, and emergency response measures
  • Loading and unloading crane loads correctly using lifting equipment
  • Performing slinger signaller duties using hand signals, including techniques for coordinating with multiple signalers
  • Conducting pre- and post-operation inspections of lifting accessories and loads
  • Determining the weight and center of gravity of loads with various shapes and lifting them safely
  • Applying lifting techniques and transmitting hand signals, while following standard procedures in basic lifting operations
