Meet MTIC by MIRDC’s In-Residence Organization — Fugro IOVTEC 國海輝固

Fugro IOVTEC, a joint venture between Dutch company Fugro and Taiwan's International Ocean Group, offers integrated engineering services for the entire lifecycle of offshore wind assets in Taiwan, focusing on precise geotechnical data to reduce risks and optimise design.

🔹TAF-accredited soil laboratory: Located at MTIC, this ISO/IEC 17025 certified soil testing facility provides customised analyses from basic classification to advanced dynamic testing, ensuring reliable data for complex engineering designs.

🔹Advanced survey technology and localised fleet: Utilising Taiwan-flagged vessels equipped with heave-compensated drilling rigs and proprietary sampling tools, Fugro IOVTEC conducts high-precision geotechnical surveys tailored to Taiwan's seabed conditions. Integration of ROVs and Digital Twin technology helps reduce operational and maintenance costs and risks.

🔹Supporting Taiwan's energy transition: By leveraging international-level expertise and localized technologies, Fugro IOVTEC advances Taiwan's indigenous offshore wind capabilities and contributes to the country's shift toward renewable energy.

Through its world-class expertise, Fugro IOVTEC is advancing Taiwan’s offshore wind capabilities and accelerating the nation’s energy transition.
